United Flight Systems and CFI C.A.R.E. have teamed up to provide the best initial flight instructor training program available. Our 5 day CFII Academy and 2 day CFI Add-On Academy will have you up and running and ready for employment.
Instructors are in great demand, especially those who are experienced in the new glass-cockpit technology. You can do your CFII flight training in a G-1000 equipped C172S or a conventional C-172R GPS equipped aircraft. Your choice!
By obtaining your Private, Instrument, and Commercial Pilot certificates, you have already demonstrated your ability to fly; now, take that knowledge and put it to use in the exciting and rewarding profession of flight instruction.
To be the best, you must train with the best. Your certificate is about teaching and who better to train you than an individual who has devoted his life to educational excellence and piloting for the past 41 years. Your instructor for this class will be Gary L. Kruger who has a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching, a Master of Education in Administration, and is a State of Texas certified teacher and administrator with numerous awards including the Texas State Teacher’s Association Human Relations Award. Gary also holds Airline Transport Pilot certificates for both ASEL and AMEL, Commercial ASES, Gold Seal CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI, and IGI certificates. During his aviation career, he has been a Chief Pilot in a Part 141 Flight School and has given over a hundred Private, Instrument, Commercial, and CFII Final Stage Checks under Examining Authority, an Airman Certification Representative for both a Pilot School and Flight Instructor Revalidation Clinics, served as an Aviation Safety Counselor, an instructor on nationally distributed Private Pilot and Instrument Pilot Written Prep DVD’s, and is currently an FAA Safety Team Representative. In addition, he has recommended over one hundred CFI and CFII applicants with a pass rate of 92% on the initial check ride.
During your 10 day ground class, you will obtain all the necessary tools to make you an effective classroom and flight instructor. By working with Gary, UFS instructors and other academy students, you will hone your teaching skills through practice teaching and become a confident instructor.
The 5 Day CFII Academy * will consist of 5 hours of flight instruction, 20 hours of ground instruction and 20 hours of lab work. Class size is limited to 8 students.
The 3 Day CFI Add-on Rating Academy * will consist of 3 hours of flight instruction, 8 hours of ground instruction and 8 hours of lab work. Course enrollment requires that you have already complete your CFII-A course.
Visit the C.F.I. Care Home Page for a complete list of prices. Remember, prices do not include written exam fees, DPE check ride fees, recommendation flight fees, books, other equipment, or any additional instruction fees. It is highly recommended that you complete ALL FAA written exams before you start either course.
* Times are for GROUND portion only. Flight portion may take longer.
